The Ultimate 1970's Photo

(click photo for larger view)

Okay, look what I dug up! This could very well be the ultimate 1970′s photograph. This photo is dated June ’77. It is a picture of me (skateboard) and my friend Bruce Bradley. Can you spot all of the cool 1970′s references?

A list of 1970′s coolness:
1.Long hair with bangs.
2. Cut off shorts with pockets sticking out
3. Knee socks with stripes
4. How about my shoes! What were those called?
5. Grentech Coyote skateboard from OTASCO
6. Ten speed bike
7. Ringer T-shirt
8. Sleeveless sweatshirt
9. Teardrop glasses, tinted.
10. No iPods, cell phones or electronic gadgets

Ahh yes. I had the same skateboard but mane was clear one with gold glitter through it. Sadly, I left it outside and it got run over by a truck :( br /br /Such freedom though…thanks for posting :)

I love Brendon’s comment! LOL. I remember those tube socks with the stripes. Are your shoes some kind of Adidas? And long-ish hair on boys is coming back.

I was born in 1968 and was a child of the 70s and 80s. Those were better times. Kids today have no idea. Growing up in their safety cocoons they are missing their childhood. I’m glad I was part of the last generation to have a childhood. Thanks for your lists and thoughts!
