I love snapping photos from time to time in order to capture life’s adventures but I don’t always have my Canon Rebel tucked away in my back pocket. As a matter of fact, I rarely have my Rebel with me unless I am specifically going out on a shoot.
Technological advances have eliminated the need for fancy cameras. You can now quickly whip out an Apple iPhone and capture a moment wherever you are. You virtually will never miss another photo opportunity again.
The 5-megapixel camera built into iPhone 4 — with optional HDR setting — captures amazingly detailed images. And you now have the ability to capture a wider range of light intensity using the new high dynamic range (HDR) setting.
I snapped the photo above with my iPhone 4. This is the Raphael Hotel in Kansas City. Hot Wife and I have been staying here for over a decade now. It is located right on The Plaza and is surrounded by shopping and fine dining. This last Christmas we took the crumb crunchers for a weekend stay to see the Christmas lights and to do our holiday gift buying.
Due to the vintage look of the building I combined it with a vintage setting in my Instagram app. I love this fun little app and combined with the iPhone 4 it is like having an instant photography studio in your pocket. I’ll try to upload more interesting photos and also post any photography tips I might run across.
